Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-15
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using SnapVid (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. The Service
SnapVid is a free tool that retrieves and displays the publicly available media URLs of YouTube videos so that users can download those files for personal use. SnapVid does not host video content, does not modify content, and does not proxy video bytes — downloads flow directly from YouTube's CDN to the user's device.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use SnapVid only for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the Service:
- To infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any person.
- To download content where you do not have the right or permission to do so.
- To distribute, sell, or commercially exploit copyrighted content downloaded via the Service.
- To engage in automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, or any abuse of the Service.
- For any purpose that violates applicable law.
We recommend using SnapVid only for content you own, Creative Commons or public-domain content, or content you have explicit permission to download. Downloading copyrighted content without permission may violate YouTube's Terms of Service and copyright law in your country. The legal responsibility is yours.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that any particular video will be downloadable, that downloaded files will be free of defects, or that the Service will meet your requirements.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapVid and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. DMCA / Copyright takedown
SnapVid does not host any video content — files are served directly by YouTube's CDN. Takedown requests for content should be directed to YouTube (Google LLC). If you believe the Service itself is enabling specific infringing activity that we can address, please contact us with details and we will investigate.
7. Trademarks and affiliation
SnapVid is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google LLC, or Alphabet Inc. YouTube® is a trademark of Google LLC. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be marked at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date.
